But Raines and her associates have not been afraid to tackle challenges, such as forging public-private partnerships for more efficient health care delivery, developing medical centers in underserved markets, creating clinical research organizations that allow for innovate treatment options, and turning start-ups into operating companies that have built platforms for expansion and attracted national investors. In 2013, she founded a new venture in health care consulting: Compliance Partners. Raines and her team have become increasingly involved in helping clients develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs.

Prior to establishing Medical Executive Partners, Heidi was the CEO at Michalopoulos Enterprises. Raines also managed two sections of the LSU Health Sciences Center, Hematology/ Oncology and Radiation Oncology, including clinical research and private clinics. She increased the sections’ profitability by 152% during her tenure.

In 2013, Raines was named Woman of the Year by New Orleans City Business for her contributions to the healthcare and biomedicine field. In 2014, Raines was invited to become a member of the Women Healthcare Executive Network (WHEN).
