Barbara Marharfar is the Chief Financial Officer at Medical Executive Partners. Marharfar applies her extensive professional expertise in analysis to client projects as well as to Medical Executive Partners’ own initiatives. Adept at strategy, she projects future revenue for new endeavors and develops clarity and presents recommendations regarding strategic growth.

Marhafer’s career is concentrated in healthcare regulation and finance. Her focus involves complex regulatory matters, healthcare financial transactions, and governmental relations.

Marharfar began her career as a Healthcare Auditor for Ernst & Young, while working towards her CPA. Her career in Healthcare accounting and consulting continued when she moved on to Spacemasters, which at that time was a small outfit that created mobile healthcare clinics and other modular workspace. Spacemasters continued to diversify and grow rapidly to 40 states nationwide. She played an integral part in the growth and subsequent sale of Space Master International, which had grown into multi-million dollar company in the time she was there.

For a period, Marharfar stepped out of healthcare and found herself in the spotlight when she supported the move of the NBA’s Hornets (now Pelicans) from Charlotte to New Orleans in 2001. She was integral in developing the team’s financial operations and managed the accounting department for several years. During that period, Marharfar was the only female CFO in the NBA, and was honored by New Orleans CityBusiness as a Woman of the Year. Marhafer returned to her roots in healthcare regulation and finance by joining Medical Executive Partners.
