The 6,000 square-foot medical building housing the new Vivere-Audubon Surgery Center includes a comprehensive andrology suite dedicated to male reproductive issues. The center also places a special emphasis on fertility preservation for cancer patients.
“Our vision for this facility is an inclusive, multi-specialty treatment center that trains medical residents, performs important clinical research and offers fertility preservation for patients undergoing cancer treatment,” reproductive endocrinologist Dr. Lindsay Wells of Vivere-Audubon said in a statement. “Today’s opening is a huge step toward seeing that dream realized.”Additional reproductive services offered at the new ambulatory surgical center include in-vitro fertilization, pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, intro cytoplasmic sperm injection, and embryo and egg freezing.
The center is one of two in-vitro centers in the greater New Orleans region and will be staffed by several physician specialists including, Wells, who is a reproductive endocrinologist, male infertility specialist Dr. Eric Laborde and urologist Dr. Richard Vanlangendonck.
Vivere-Audubon Surgery Center came about through a partnership between New Orleans-based physician specialists, Medical Executive Partners, and Franklin, Tenn.-based surgery center managers Vivere Health. It is located at 2701 Napoleon Ave.
